Converter Defender Installation Instructions<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The sensor is to be hose clamped to the exhaust system, no closer than 12\u201d to the converter Preferably clamp it to a heat shield over the exhaust system for extra temperature isolation<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Make sure the wiring is away from anything that may get hot
Leave a little extra slack in the cable so it can float freely
Route the wiring to the engine compartment and attach the sensor connector to the alarm module<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Find a fuse that is hot when the vehicle is running (or started with command start) and attach the green ignition sense wire (remove that fuse and insert it in the empty spot on the tap in) place the tap in into that spot in the fuse box<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attach ground<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Attach 12v<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Operating<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The alarm is automatically disabled when the ignition is on.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Converter Defender will automatically arm itself in 3 mins (during this time it can be tested by kicking the tailpipe and will let out 1 chirp)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Converter Defender will sound the alarm for 2 mins then it will go to sleep unless motion is seen again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Alarm will sound if sensor tampered with in any way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
